GCSE MATHS
Learners will study 3hrs of maths each week. Topics will include number work, algebra, geometry, statistics, ratio and problem solving. The examining body for this course is Pearson Edexcel which includes includes one non-calculator exam and two calculator examinations.
Learners enrolling on the course should be aware that the pace of the course is necessarily fast and demands learners spending additional time at home recapping areas studied and completing weekly homework. In the weeks approaching the exams learners will be expected to complete past papers for marking. It is expected that learners will complete all homework set and attend EVERY session - if these obligations are not met learners may lose their place on the course.

There are no formal entry requirements; however the results of an initial assessment will be taken into consideration at entry to the course.
This course is offered onsite with face to face sessions or online.
Learners can progress to Core Maths (L3) or onto an appropriate higher level course in another area.
