HABC Level 3 Award First Aid at Work (ERC)

This 3 day accredited course comes under the Awarding Body of Compliance HABC.

This qualification is designed for those wishing to become a Fully Appointed First Aider. The programme can be run flexibly to suit the employer. i.e. complete week or over 3 weeks.

The structure of the course is in conjunction with the HSE.

What You Will Learn

Areas of study will include:

The Role and Responsibility of a First Aider

Assessing an Incident and reporting Primary and recovery Position

Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is Breathing Normally

Managing an Unresponsive Casualty who is not Breathing Normally

The use of a AED machine and the maintenance

Recognise and Assist a Casualty who is choking

Managing a Casualty who is wounded and Bleeding and catastrophic bleeds

Managing a Casualty who is in Shock

Managing a Casualty with a Minor Injury

Administer First Aid for a range of conditions, such as

Fracture

Broken back

Epilepsy

Head trauma

Electrical shock

Asthma

Drug overdose

Managing a Casualty for a range of major illnesses

Managing Burns 1st 2nd and 3rd degree

Implementing and assessing the First aid box and materials
