IOSH Managing Safely Certificate (ERC)
The course is designed as an introduction to health and safety in the workplace for managers. It concentrates on training the manager to apply sound management principles to health and safety issues as part of the overall management strategy.
If you only have one person, or just a small number of people who require training, we hold regular sessions at our St James Centre in Hull, just off the A63. Ample parking is available, and we are a short walk from the train station.
For larger groups of 5 or more staff, consider a group booking for which discounts are available and alternative dates can be arranged to suit you. We can deliver the training at your premises nationwide if that is your preference
The programme is structured in seven modules. Modules contain presentations, group exercises, and group discussions. The training programme can be spread over a variety of periods to suit individual needs.
The main modules are:
- Introducing managing safely
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding your responsibilities
- Identifying hazards
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring performance
There are no formal entry requirements for the course.
Students from the course may progress to the NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety
