Italian - Short Course

Beginners course:

This is designed to give you the vocabulary necessary to deal with the following situations:

  • Introducing yourself to others
  • Going shopping
  • Ordering a meal
  • At the railway / bus station
  • Giving and receiving directions

Intermediate course:

This is designed to give you the following skills:

  • Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, or leisure-related topics
  • Can deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an area where the language is spoken
  • Can produce simple connected texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest
  • Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions, as well as opinions or plans in brief

What You Will Learn

These 12-week programmes are split into beginners or intermediate depending on prior knowledge.

These courses are designed to help build your skills in Italian through a combination of speaking, listening, reading and writing activities.

Entry Requirements

No prior knowledge is required for beginners.

Intermediate requires the completion of beginner course or prior knowledge of Italian.

Face to face, classroom based.

What Next?

It is possible to progress to intermediate once you have completed beginners.
