Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Hull)
This course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the needs of Ofsted.
It is suitable for Childminders, Nursery and School Staff (dealing with Foundation Stage) and anybody who deals with children and wants a more in-depth course. Also very helpful for parents and grandparents to give them more confidence.
It is 2 day course.
What You Will Learn
- The roles and responsibilities of a first-aider
- Assessing emergency situations
- Correct training in CPR and the use of AED
- Recovery position
- Administering First Aid to a choking child or a Infant
- Dealing with minor injuries
- Dealing with Scolds, burns, bleeds.
- Anaphylaxis through allergens, bites and stings
- Dealing with a casualties with fractures and spinal or head injuries
- Symptoms of Meningitis and sepsis
- Epilepsy
Entry Requirements
No entry requirements required, but the course over the 2 days is both Practical and Theory.

A progression onto a Level 3, three day First Aid at Work.
