Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) (Beverley)
A motor vehicle service and maintenance technician services and repairs light vehicles such as cars and vans and works either in dealerships which focus on a particular manufacturer, or in an independent garage which deals with many different makes of vehicles.
Study at Level:
This is a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
This Apprenticeship covers the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress in this profession, including routine servicing and inspection procedures, construction and operation of vehicle components and systems, legal requirements, use a range of diagnostic equipment, adhere to business processes, effective communication and demonstrate a passion for engineering among others.
Entry requirements will be assessed on an individual basis and subject to an initial assessment carried out prior to enrollment.
The delivery will be a mixture of work-based training and progress assessment mixed with College taught sessions throughout the programme to support the off the job training requirement.
