Higher Education Support

Canvas

Canvas VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) https://gig.instructure.com/ is a system for managing and delivering online learning materials and resources to students. It links all these resources and other helpful digital tools in a convenient, easily accessible location. This platform is accessible to all East Riding staff and students using their Office 365 login credentials.

Success Coaches

Each university-level course is assigned a dedicated Success Coach. They are a non-teaching staff member with a degree who collaborates with students to address any concerns they may encounter throughout their studies. Here are some of the services they provide:

  • First point of contact for higher education learners
  • Student advocacy
  • Supporting students who have or may need mitigation
  • Pastoral support, online, telephone and in person
  • Guidance and support in regards to on-campus and outside agencies and services

If you have any questions, then please contact them.
