Grimsby Institute

Situated at the heart of Grimsby, our Nuns Corner Campus is the main provider of technical and professional training in the region. It provides a broad curriculum that encompasses full and part-time provision from 14 years onwards. Our extensive range of training options includes further and higher education pathways, apprenticeship programs, community initiatives, bespoke business training, work-based learning opportunities, and commercial ventures.

The Nuns Corner campus is home to the Engineering & Renewable Energy Centre, a £6-million Sports Centre and the Grimsby School of Art, a £4-million home for our Creative Arts courses.

Nuns Corner is also the home to the £20-million University Centre Grimsby that opened its doors in 2011 and offers a dedicated home for our higher education programmes. These are offered in partnership with the University of Hull, alongside our own suite of Foundation Degree programmes.

The Nunsthorpe Community campus is located just a short walk away from the Nuns Corner campus. Here, we specialise in land-based studies, providing courses in Floristry and Animal Care.

The TEC Partnership is also the base for a large Workforce Development provision and for the Food Refrigeration and Process Engineering Research Centre. Our Graduate Salon, a premier destination for Hair & Beauty training, proudly earned the distinction of being named the CIBTAC International Centre of the Year. Notably, we hold accreditation’s such as BBC Education Partner for Media and National Skills Academy status for Creative & Cultural Skills, Food Manufacturing, and Environmental Technologies.
