L3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

Summary

Colley Farm Buildings is a family-run company specialising in portal steel-framed buildings across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, with over 50 years of industry experience and a strong focus on the agricultural sector. As a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice, you will support the efficient running of the office at our Hutton Cranswick premises, providing administrative and sales support, assisting with yard sales, stock management, and billing, while working closely with the Buyer and Directors. This is a varied role combining office-based responsibilities with some outdoor sales activities, so candidates should be organised, proactive, and comfortable working outside when required.

Administrative & Office Support

As an apprentice Commis Chef, you will learn the essential foundations of professional cookery while working under the guidance of experienced chefs. You will develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to operate effectively in a professional kitchen environment. This role is designed to build your confidence, competence, and understanding of how each kitchen section functions, helping you discover the areas where your interests and talents lie.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and supporting service across multiple sections. You will learn how to work efficiently, safely, and hygienically while contributing to the overall success of the kitchen team.

About the employer

You’ll receive hands-on experience in a working kitchen, support and guidance from our experienced team, and training through East Riding College as you work towards your qualification.

Our restaurant is an important part of our independent garden centre, with a friendly team serving our customers throughout the day.
