A Skills Bootcamp is a short, intensive training programme of up to 16 weeks, funded by the Department for Education to support with the skills for life initiative. Designed to help learners quickly gain practical skills and knowledge in a specific industry or job role. These bootcamps focus on building job-ready abilities, often combining theoretical learning with hands-on practice. They are usually aimed at:
Skills Bootcamps often lead to recognised certifications and are tailored to meet current employer needs, making them a fast and effective way to boost employability.
Available to adults aged 19 and above (Learners must have turned 19 prior to the 31st of August 2025)
Must be a UK resident and have lived in England for the last 3 years
Fully funded to unemployed, self-employed and independent learners
90% funded to SME’s (under 250 employees)
70% funded to large businesses (250 employees and above)

•Electrical Installation applicants must be qualified electricians with 5 years’ industry experience.
