Our Careers Service department offers a wealth of resources and expertise to support you in achieving your goals. From entry level to employment, our Level 6-qualified careers advisors are ready to assist you in making informed decisions and planning your future path. 

At East Riding College, our commitment to your success extends beyond the classroom. Our team of guidance staff is readily available to provide expert support throughout your college experience. Whether you’re exploring career options, selecting courses, or planning your post-study endeavours, we’re here to help you every step of the way. 

We take pride in delivering high-quality, confidential, and unbiased guidance services, which are readily available to current and prospective students of all ages considering enrolment at East Riding College. Alumni are also welcome to access our services upon request. 

Parents/carers

Feel free to reach out to us if you require information that could assist you in supporting your dependents, such as details on progression pathways or insights into the labour market. We’re here to help, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance.

Students

Students can book a confidential one to one appointment with the team to look at all of their progression options including: 

  • Your Next Steps into Further Education (Preparing for your Future) 
  • Training Opportunities 
  • Apprenticeships 
  • University (Supporting your Aspirations and Progression) 
  • Employment 
  • Throughout the year the team delivers a comprehensive programme of workshops that can be booked for both staff and learners including topics such as UCAS Registration, Personal Statement Writing and Student Finance. 

We welcome requests from other provider organisations who would like to offer information to our learners.

The Careers Lead for the TEC Partnership is Tamarra Taylor, who along with our Schools Liaison and Admissions Manager Susan Wells, are Qualified as Level 7 Careers Leaders.

The Careers Advice Team can provide learners with a range of information, advice and guidance to support them to make informed choices regarding their next steps, we also have a variety of resources and tools aimed at supporting students, parents and carers when considering their career-based decisions.
