East Riding College Students Celebrate Results Day Success 

Students at East Riding College, part of the TEC Partnership, are celebrating today after receiving their Level 3 qualification results. 

Staff welcomed learners and their families onto campus this morning as students collected their results and gathered to celebrate their achievements together. 

Results at East Riding College highlighted outstanding performance across its creative curriculum and vocational pathways: 

• Design & Fashion (Beverley): Students studying the UAL National Extended Diploma in Design and Fashion achieved a 100% pass rate, with half securing high grades. 

• Creative Media (Beverley): Learners on the UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology also achieved a 100% pass rate—a 12 percentage point increase on last year—while the high-grade rate rose by seven percentage points to 13%. 

• Creative Practice (Bridlington): Students studying the UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Practice achieved a 100% pass rate, with 56% securing high grades. 

Among those celebrating at the Bridlington Campus was Carrie-Anne Walkington, who studied a T Level in Education and Early Years, achieving a Merit. She is now progressing directly into employment within a nursery setting. Carrie-Anne said: 

“I’ve really enjoyed my three years at East Riding College, Bridlington. I started on the Level 2 course and moved on to the T Level, met new people and had so many new experiences so I felt really well prepared for my next steps. I’m now working in a childcare setting and loving it.” 

Also celebrating at Bridlington was Dalya Almandalawi, who studied the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business. After achieving Distinction, Distinction, Merit (DDM), she is now progressing to university. Dalya said: 

“I thought I might be interested in doing human resources, but this course convinced me so now I am applying through clearing for a university course. I really enjoyed the teamwork on this course and the support from my teachers was amazing. You will find all that you need to achieve at this wonderful college.” 

At the Beverley Campus, Harriet Eshelby achieved triple Distinction grades (DDD) in her Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Design and Fashion and is now progressing to Northumbria University. Commenting on her time at East Riding College, Harriet said: 

“I’ve had the best time studying Fashion at East Riding College and the opportunities to get involved with amazing events such as Hull and East Yorkshire Fashion Week. The tutors have been supportive throughout the course and i have made some amazing friends.” 

At the new Hull Campus on Baker Street, Performing Arts student Caelenn Ledger-Gren is preparing to progress to the MetFilm School to study Acting for Screen. Caelenn said: 

“I have enjoyed studying Performing Arts and appreciated the help from the amazing tutors. I have also made some friends for life. I have really enjoyed first year in the new campus building at Hull.” 

Nicola Adams, Interim Campus Principal for East Riding College Beverley & Hull, commented: 

“We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved. 

“Results Day is always a special occasion, and it has been fantastic to celebrate alongside our students, their families, and our staff. 

“Our students are progressing onto exciting futures including university, apprenticeships and employment, and we wish them every success in the future.” 

The college looks forward to supporting all students as they move onto the next stage of their education, training, and future careers.
