A talented student from East Riding College, part of the TEC Partnership, has claimed first place in a prestigious international culinary competition held in Venice, Italy.
Ruby Goodens, a Hospitality student based at the college’s Bridlington campus, was crowned winner of the Combi Guru Challenge, a world-renowned competition hosted by Unox.
Representing East Riding College on the international stage for the second consecutive year, Ruby competed against top culinary students from across the globe. Having secured second place in last year’s competition, she returned with determination and elevated her performance, impressing judges with her exceptional skill, creativity and professionalism.
Her beautifully executed dishes stood out among a highly competitive field, earning her the top honour and recognition as the overall winner of the challenge.
