The TEC Partnership, formerly known as the Grimsby Institute Group, stands as one of England’s largest providers of further and higher education.  

With a rich history of developing training and educational initiatives for the community, the TEC Partnership encompasses several institutions, including the Grimsby Institute, University Centre Grimsby, Scarborough TEC (formerly Yorkshire Coast College), East Riding College, Skegness TEC (formerly Lincolnshire Regional College) and The Academy Grimsby (providing an alternative educational route for gifted 14-16 year olds).

As an Ofsted-accredited institution with Degree awarding powers, the TEC Partnership boasts a student body exceeding 16,500 learners. Our vision is to enrich lives through excellent education, community collaboration, and employment opportunities, aiming to enhance the lives of all individuals. East Riding College is part of the TEC Partnership, one of England’s largest providers of further and higher education.  The College merged with TEC Partnership in August 2020, bringing together two organisations that possess a wealth of local knowledge and understanding.  The newly-formed partnership has a shared vision to drive the economic success and social development of the wider region.  It will create opportunities to invest in the local economy, through education, training, learners, colleagues and facilities.

Scarborough TEC is a college which understands and meets the needs of students and employers. The college’s service to students increases their opportunity to study programmes that are directly related to current and future labour market needs thereby supporting the region’s vocational and technical skills requirements and the local economy.

Skegness TEC

Since its establishment in 2009, Skegness TEC, formerly known as Lincolnshire Regional College, has been providing Skegness and the surrounding areas with an ever-expanding curriculum, giving learners the education and training sought after by employers.

Grimsby Institute

Our Nuns Corner Campus, located in the centre of Grimsby, is the main provider of technical and professional training in the region. Offering a broad curriculum, we cater to individuals from the age of 14 plus accommodating both full-time and part-time students. Our extensive range of training opportunities covers various pathways, including further and higher education programs, apprenticeships, community initiatives, business training, work-based learning, and commercial ventures.

University Centre Grimsby

Our University Centre Grimsby offers an impressive new landmark for Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire, offering everyone the opportunity to study higher education in world-class surroundings. Established in 2011 at a cost of £20 million, it offers a dedicated home for our higher education programmes, offered in partnership with the University of Hull, alongside our own suite of Foundation Degree programmes.

National Employer Training (NET)

National Employer Training (NET) is part of TEC Partnership with centres located in Grimsby, Doncaster and Leeds. Net UK specialise in specific training, education and recruitment tailored to specific industry sectors.

The Academy Grimsby

The Academy Grimsby is an exciting alternative route to college or employment for young people aged 14-16 years. At the Academy, we focus on providing high-quality GCSE education alongside specialised professional and technical areas of study and pastoral care. The Academy Grimsby is a thriving, exciting school dedicated to improving the life chances of its young people.
